ACV sociale: webinaire des travaux de thèse d'Anaïs Falk sur un cas d'étude d'exploitation bananière

Comment évaluer les impacts sociaux des activités agricoles ? Comment garantir le niveau de vie des travailleurs dans les exploitations bananières ? Quelles complémentarités avec la méthode du living wage utilisée dans la matrice IDH ?

Le Cirad, l’INRAE et Vitropic souhaitent répondre à ces questions lors d'un webinaire le mardi 16 mai de 15h à 17h (heure Paris). Au cours du webinaire, les intervenants du Cirad, de l’INRAE et de Vitropic exposeront l’étude de cas réalisée sur les familles d’ouvriers agricoles des exploitations bananières. Quels sont les services de base (habitat, soins, éducation, etc.) qui comptent vraiment pour les familles ? Quels sont leurs besoins et leur niveau de satisfaction ? Voilà les questions fondamentales qui se posent aux décideurs publics et privés s’ils souhaitent véritablement améliorer le niveau de vie de la population locale. C’est le but de « Neighbour », la méthode d’évaluation des impacts sociaux d’une filière développée par l’INRAE et le Cirad. Elle vient en cela interroger les autres méthodes d’évaluation adoptées par les certificateurs et les acheteurs de la grande distribution européenne et mondiale. Venez assister à la revue en détails de cette nouvelle méthode qui a été testée avec succès sur une filière banane export.

Cirad, INRAE and Vitropic would like to answer these questions during a webinar on Tuesday, May 16 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm (Paris time). During the webinar, Cirad, INRAE and Vitropic speakers will present a case study on the workers’ families of banana plantations. What are the basic services (housing, care, education, etc.) that really count for the families? What are their needs and their level of satisfaction? These are the fundamental questions facing public and private decision makers, if they truly wish to improve the living standard of the local population. That is the aim of "Neighbour", the value chain social impacts assessment method developed by INRAE and Cirad. In this respect, it calls into question the other assessment methods adopted by certifiers and supermarket sector purchasers, in Europe and worldwide. Come and see the details of this new method, which has been successfully tested on an export banana industry.
